X-clusive: Reverend And The Makers' New Supergroup
The Reverend tells Xfm about joining forces with Arctic Monkeys, Supergrass and Mystery Jets' members to create a charity album for street kids in Brazil.
Needless to say, the Sheffield singer was bubbling over with excitement for his other charity project.
"I've got loads of musicians coming together to form a new supergroup," he revealed, "I've only just started recruiting but so far I've got Danny Goffey [Supergrass' drummer], some lads from from Arctic Monkeys and the Mystery Jets' drummer and their bassist."
"We're gonna record tracks here in London then take it over to Brazil", he explained. "A supergroup of Brazilians will put vocals onto our tracks and then our British artists will do the same to their tracks."
It's all for a charity called Bottletop which raises money to help street kids in Brazil, Malawi and India. It's so called as the kids they help collect bottle tops to make belts and other souvenirs.
