The AL-X List

Check out our brand new Breakfast Show feature, Al-X List; our special collection of stonkin musical treats that you haven't heard in donkeys' years.
We're resting Monsters of Rock for a while, but do not fear we still want to play an absolute classic every morning that you would never normally hear on the show. A banging song-a-day to get you on your way.
Every morning at 6.50am - when you are clearing out those cob-webs, dragging yourself out of bed or on your merry way - we'll be adding one more classic track to Al-X List.
With two clear intentions we will be playing a tune-a-day that meets the following criteria:
1) It's bloomin' brilliant
2) We haven't heard it in bloody ages
The song will then get officially added to Al-X List which will go on and on and on...like so...

Could you add anything by the Cocteau Twins please, to the A-X-List please. I feel they were (and still are in my opinion) a great band who don't get enough (if any at all) airplay. I listen to the "X-list" nearly every day, and I'm amazed they haven't been featured yet. Though they are longer together as a band, they should not be forgotten. If you are stuck for a selection, try "Peppermint Pig." Grrreat classic track. thanx, Terry D.C.

I can't believe there is no Sublime on here yet!!! could we have Santeria by Sublime its such a great track and i will probably be hung over friday morning and this would greatly improve my chances of getting to work on time. Many thanks.

It's time we had some Queen on there. How about something off the beaten track? The beauty about this band is that they had soooo many excellent songs tucked away on albums. I would like you to play 'It's Late' from the News of the World album. It's one of my top 3 songs EVER. You won't be disappointed. This song proves that Freddie was a genius and portrays him at his best.

Rocket from the Crypt: "On a Rope"
Because the tune is 'audio caffeine' - it will get me out of bed and jumping with air guitar moves, instead of feeling like hiding under the duvet. I am not a morning person. -
