St Albans' electro-pop posse Friendly Fires have made one of this year's finest debuts. Not ones to rest on their laurels, the trio popped by Xfm to record a top-notch session for Steve Harris.
Once upon a time Friendly Fires were not Friendly Fires. They were a post-hardcore outfit who revelled in covering Steppenwolf's 'Born To Be Wild' in front of a rather ungrateful crowd at school concerts. These days however, they're a Top 40 debut album hit with nothing but sweet shoegazed-up disco house euphoria for all to enjoy. How things change.
They - Ed Macfarlane (frontman), Jack Savidge (drummer) and Edd Gibson (guitarist) - even get to record mega sessions for Steve Harris. Listen to all four tracks below...
